Howdy Brothers and Sisters,

O.K. We're on this tour. We had a great time in New Orleans, all through Florida, Charlotte, Birmingham, Atlanta...I really love to play music. Who wouldn't? I love my job. I love doing meet and greets.

Just in case you don't know, "meet and greet" is a music biz term for meeting the fans. I love to do it. Meeting fans in an even and orderly manner is what me and my guys love to do.

However, sometimes aggressive fans can destroy the whole thing for me and everybody else. These people can be kind of funny, but, when they hog the whole thing talking, talking and being rude and interrupting. It's not fair to other fans who may be normal hardworking, and mainly polite people. They get stuck waiting around for their turn while some drunk insults me! Then, when I do get to talk to these people, guess which guy keeps interrupting?

The whole thing causes me to go into a funny kind of trance that Eric our old tour manager described as "jamming my frequencies." It's exactly like what happens when your computer crashes. I know that I get this look on my face that just says, "Lights out, party's over." I think I will probably never see myself with the exact right expression, but, I'll bet it's funny.

When there's three people talking to you very loudly at the same time, you can get asked three different questions that cause you to just lose it. For example, if one person asks you, "Hey, are you in love?" And another asks, "Will you give me a hug?" And the third says, "Have you seen Jimbo?" I go blank for a second, then I say, "Ah."

Then you know, you're jamming my frequencies. Ha, Ha.
It's hard to figure out. I do know, however, that I am a scatterbrain.

Anyway, the shows all seem to be going very well. I am having a wonderful time. I've been doing the sermon just about every show. I've been doing this sermon for a while now and it is wearing thin with me. I'm working on a new one for next year. So, catch this one before its gone. We're on tour of the Eastern United States.

In St. Louis at Mississippi Nights, we had a great crowd. On stage, I said that we would do a meet and greet (also called a grip and grin) out at our T-shirt booth. Unfortunately, the management asked us not to as they were going to have another show in the same venue that same night. Sorry, maybe next time. I told you that sometimes it's just not possible to do the meet and greets.

I'm still hardly working on putting out this vinyl 45 that we recorded back in September. The title song is going to be called "King." The backing song is going to be called "The Girl In Blue." Working on the cover with a real good artist right now.

I hope that everybody had a great Thanksgiving. I know that I sure did. I, for one, have a lot to be thankful for. And I've got to tell you that I didn't even eat a whole pumpkin pie. Almost all!

Sincerely,

Jim "Rev. Horton Heat" Heath
