Howdy Cats and Kittens,

O.K. we did this T-shirt design contest. The whole thing just blows me away. We got so many great designs that entered in this contest, it was overwhelming. Just about every piece had something very valid about it. That made the decision very tough. I had to pick one design that would be the new T-shirt for us. There ended up being about twenty that had more than potential. And honestly, the winning design may not be the "best" T-shirt, but hey, it's about what I like. My point is that there were so many great ones, it made me really proud and grateful to have fans that are so talented and stylish.

Anyway, there was this one design that I felt was a great little piece of art. It was professionally executed (most of the designs looked professional), but it also just seemed to be a great illustration. Still was it best T-shirt design? Maybe not, but I have found that when people see a design that is great illustration, they appreciate the talent enough that they want it. There are definitely other entries that might even be better overall T-shirt designs, but, no one really outdid Eddie Rutkoski in the art department. It's an early fifties Ford tow truck that is working out on the road to damnation. It's says something about 'Salvation on the road to damnation', and it just hits the nail on the head. I hope we can make a website so ya'll can see what I'm talking about. Anyway, that's your winner, Eddie Rutkoski.

So, thanks to everyone that entered in the contest. Are Rev fans all great artists? It sure looks that way.

We're leaving next week to go out with the Sex Pistols. Can you believe that? The Sex Pistols! It's going to be a nonstop party I know. Then we're hitting lift-off with the Blasters and BR-549. Hope to see ya'll real soon.

Thanks for the gig,
Jim "Reverend Horton" Heat
